Dr. Rachel Willis and Students Win Recognition at BeAM Makerfest for Climatopia

Congratulations to Dr. Rachel Willis and students, whose Climatopia project won 2nd place all around in UNC’s Fall 2023 BeAM Makerfest! Over the last four years, AMST 460 and 398 students took the game from a prototype to an amazing final climate change education tool. Climatopia will become part of the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center’s interactive tools for visitors and summer camps, and Spoonflower will enable people to buy a yard of fabric to make a version of the game at home. Learn more about the Climatopia project by visiting the website or following on Instagram @UncClimatopia.
