Charlotte Fryar, whose dissertation examines the contested geography of the Carolina campus over space and time will give a talk entitled, “Building a University of the People: The Movement for a Free-Standing Black Cultural Center at UNC-Chapel Hill.”

Charlotte will give her talk at 12:30pm on Wednesday, June 7.

The talk is part of the Center for the Study of the American South’s Tell about the South series and will take place at the Center, located at 410 E. Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.
