Professor Sharon Holland, now the Townsend Ludington Distinguished Professor of American Studies, co-taught a new “super course” that explored issues of race, gender, sexuality and inclusion, highlighting topics such as racial profiling, gender discrimination, identity formation, social and environmental justice — and how these things intersect. Professor Michelle Robinson received Carolina’s Excellence in Teaching award – and organized an enthusiastically received symposium on American humor.
