Graduate Study in AIIS

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill features nationally recognized faculty across several departments with strengths in American Indian and Indigenous Studies.

The Department of American Studies actively recruits students interested in AIIS for its Ph.D. in American Studies and an M.A. in Folkore. Students in both degree programs may work with AIIS faculty and develop expertise in American Indian and Indigenous Studies.
