Sara Camp Milam (Folklore MA ’12) was recently honored by Southern Living magazine as one of many “Innovators Changing the South.” Milam, the managing editor for the Southern Foodways Alliance, was spotlighted for her work on the SFA’s quarterly, Gravy. Southern Living writes: “We have Sara Camp Milam to thank for growing Gravy into robust, full-color issues packed with stories that help us look at traditional food with a new eye. Milam has a degree in folklore from UNC-Chapel Hill, and it shows—she brings culture, character, and storytelling into the mix.”
